Privacy policy

In short: the site has no user accounts or profile forms, videos are not uploaded to a Vidak server, and cookies for private videos are used locally by the app.

Scope

This policy covers vidak.app, the official installer download and the current Vidak 0.1.0 Windows app. Vidak is developed by the independent ARTOVO studio.

Website data

The site does not create accounts or accept user videos. Like a normal web server, the host may temporarily log an IP address, request time, URL, user agent, response code and technical errors for reliability and security.

A manual RU/EN choice is stored only in your browser's localStorage under vidak-lang. It contains no name, email address or video URL.

Yandex Metrica

The site uses Yandex Metrica counter 111281574 with link tracking, click maps and Session Replay. Metrica may use cookies and technical identifiers under Yandex's own policy. The data helps identify page errors and download-button use; it does not include the content of downloaded videos.

If your browser or blocker prevents Metrica from loading, the website and installer download continue to work.

What the app does

  • Vidak requires no Vidak account, email address or activation key.
  • A URL is processed by the app on your computer; network requests go to the selected platform and required technical resources.
  • The finished file is saved to your chosen local folder and is not uploaded to vidak.app.
  • Update checks request vidak.app/releases/latest.json.
  • Selected browser cookies are used locally to make an authorized request to the platform. vidak.app does not receive them.
A cookies.txt file may grant access to your platform account. Never send it to support; protect it like a password.

Support messages

If you contact hello@artovo.com or Telegram, the relevant service processes your address or profile name and message. Send only what is needed for diagnosis. You may redact usernames and local paths from logs.
