How to save a VK video
- Open the exact video on VK rather than a general feed or profile page.
- Use the share command or browser address bar to copy its link.
- Paste the URL into Vidak and select “Find”.
- Choose an available quality and a destination folder.
- Start the download and follow its status in the queue.
If the copied link is a shortened share URL, let it open in your browser first and then copy the resolved video address. This helps Vidak identify the intended media rather than the surrounding post.
Public links and account-only videos
A video may be visible only to friends, group members or signed-in users. Vidak can use cookies from a supported browser when your own account already has permission. Select that browser in the app, close it completely so the cookie database is unlocked, and retry.
Why available quality can differ
Vidak lists the streams supplied by VK for that particular upload. Older clips may have only SD or HD; newer source files may offer Full HD or more. The app does not invent missing resolution, so choosing the highest listed option preserves the best available source without artificial upscaling.
If the link is not detected
Confirm that the video still plays in a normal browser window and that the URL belongs to the video, not a search page. Update Vidak from the official release page, retry without a VPN or proxy, and copy the exact error text if the problem continues.
