How to save YouTube audio as MP3
- Copy the URL of a video, track or playlist you can lawfully save.
- Paste it into Vidak and wait for the available formats.
- Open the Audio tab and select MP3.
- Choose the bitrate and destination folder.
- Start the download and wait for the local conversion to finish.
The final file is written to your selected folder. For playlists, Vidak adds tracks to the queue so progress and errors remain visible per item.
What bitrate should you choose?
A higher MP3 bitrate increases file size but cannot restore detail missing from the original stream. 192 kbps is a practical default for speech and casual listening; 256 or 320 kbps may be useful when the source is high quality and storage is not a concern.
Names, covers and metadata
Available titles, artist names and thumbnails depend on the source page. Review the generated filename before building a large library: uploaders do not always use consistent title and artist fields. A playlist can contain duplicates, unavailable items or private videos, which Vidak reports separately.
Copyright and access limits
Use audio extraction for your own uploads, public-domain material and content whose license or owner permits downloading. Vidak does not remove DRM and cannot grant access to private media. Platform rules and copyright law still apply to the files saved on your device.
